Gold Coast Health’s Adolescent Day Program is a program to help young people, so they don’t have to stay in hospital.
It runs Monday to Friday from 8.45am - 3.30 pm. The program is for young people aged 14-18 years who have health problems.
These problems might be eating disorders or other long term health problems. It can also care for complex needs like functional neurological disorders.
The day program has doctors, nurses, psychologists, dieticians and others. They provide medical check-ups, therapy and health education.
There is also time for schoolwork during school terms. Parents and carers can come to an education session so they learn how to support their young person at home.
